Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead warehouse layout and automation deployments in our U.S. distribution network. You will analyze client data, develop resource requirements, and create proposal content including layouts, material flow and ROI analyses.

The role requires 5–10 years in engineering and design, strong AutoCAD/Excel/Power BI skills, and a proven ability to optimize put-away, picking, and labor efficiency across 3PL environments.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in warehouse layout, engineering, and design.
• Hands-on experience developing innovative warehouse solutions balancing cost, efficiency, and scalability.
• Expertise designing warehouse strategies (put-away, picking, replenishment, slotting, workflow) to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client data to support solution development objectives.
• Deliver engineered resource requirements for solution pricing.
• Produce written and visual content in support of proposal development (layouts, diagrams, analytics).
• Deliver budgetary costs for material handling and automation solutions featured in proposals.
• Evaluate material handling and automation solutions for feasibility in existing stations.
• Develop business case and ROI when fit is determined.
• Recommend vendors and advise in procurement of deployments.
• Project management of implemented solutions for new and existing stations.
