Job summary

Continental is seeking a skilled technician to perform maintenance and repair on customer conveyor systems in a full-time role. The candidate should read technical manuals and blueprints, conduct setups, troubleshoot and complete preventive maintenance.

Welding and fabrication skills are essential for on-site repairs. The role requires compliance with OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background required and experience with bearing installation.
• Basic blueprint reading and familiarity with conveyor systems.
• Welding: SMAW, GMAW and TIG; cutting with OXY/PLASMA as required.
• Rigging and signaling for hoisting operations must be demonstrated.
• Observe conveyor operations to detect defects or malfunctions.
• General knowledge of laser alignment technology.
• Fabrication and layout abilities for assemblies and repairs.
• HS diploma/GED plus 3–6 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to perform measurements and basic math in various units.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled and emergency repairs to customer conveyor systems.
• Read manuals, drawings and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Set up/review conveyor systems, troubleshoot and repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and document results.
• Comply with OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations and company policies.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
