Job summary

Continental is seeking a skilled technician to perform scheduled and emergency repairs on customer conveyor systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic aspects, read manuals and blueprints, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires welding (SMAW/GMAW/TIG) and rigging know-how, with experience in conveyor system setup, preventive maintenance, and defect investigation. High school diploma or GED and relevant field experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical background with bearing installation and fluid power knowledge.
• Reading blueprints and understanding conveyor systems a must.
• Experience welding SMAW, GMAW and TIG; cutting with OXY/PLASMA preferred.
• Ability to rig and signal hoisting operations safely.
• Good understanding of laser alignment technology and fabrication/layout skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled and emergency repairs to customer conveyor systems.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, fabrication, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Read manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Conduct system setup, review, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
