Continental Group Sector ContiTech is seeking a field technician to provide scheduled and emergency repairs on customer conveyor systems at client locations in the United States. You will perform mechanical, electrical, welding and hydraulic troubleshooting while interpreting manuals, blueprints and work orders to complete maintenance tasks.

The role requires reading conveyor layouts, ensuring safety compliance, and executing setup, inspection and preventive maintenance in line with OSHA, MSHA

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background, including bearing installation, fluid power knowledge and best practices of component interchange.
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and general knowledge of customers’ conveyor systems.
• Performs welding-SMAW, GMAW and TIG. OXY, PLASMA and AIR ARC cutting as required.
• Demonstrates proper rigging and signaling for hoisting operations.
• Observes conveyor system operations to detect defects or component malfunction.
• General knowledge of laser alignment technology.
• General fabrication and layout abilities.

Responsabilités

• Provides scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs to customer conveyor systems.
• Demonstrates skills including mechanical, electrical, fabrication/welding, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, blue prints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Conducts conveyor systems setup/review, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance services.
• Complies with all government regulatory requirements, including OSHA, MSHA and DOT.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management and/or as needed.
