Job summary

Continental invites a field technician to join its industrial service team. You will perform scheduled and emergency repairs on customer conveyor systems, using mechanical, electrical, welding and hydraulic troubleshooting to keep lines running.

Reading manuals and blueprints, conducting setup and preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT standards are core duties. A HS diploma or GED and 3–6 years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and knowledge of bearing installation and fluid power.
• Blueprint reading and general knowledge of conveyor systems.
• Welding: SMAW, GMAW, TIG; cutting as required.
• Rigging and signaling for hoisting operations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical manuals and specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on customer conveyor systems.
• Read manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Conduct conveyor system setup, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Comply with OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations; maintain safety standards.
• Assist with rigging and signaling for hoisting operations.
