Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Tucson is seeking a Rubber Products Specialist who will train, implement, and execute rubber product marketing programs. You will work with Account Managers to assess needs and deliver solutions that boost customer satisfaction and sales.

The role requires strong customer service and technical knowledge of rubber products and conveyors, with ability to read drawings, travel 1-3 nights per month, and collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven technical lightweight conveyor belt sales and service experience OR belt service, fabrication, installation experience
• Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
• Ability to read / understand technical drawings
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Able to pass background check and drug test. Must be at least 21 yrs old
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Training or presentation experience, a plus
• Listening, negotiating, and effective questioning skills
• Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
• Ability / desire to travel 1-3 nights/month

Responsibilities

• Coordinate conveyor belt /rubber product initiatives with various Service Centers and Regional Managers
• Make rubber product / conveyor belt presentations to both internal associates and customers
• Conduct training for both internal associates and customers
• Make joint sales calls with the field sales staff
• Assist in the development of rubber products / conveyor belt data collection; interchange information, case histories, documented value-added benefits, and application data
• Partner in setting – and meeting/exceeding - sales target goals and execution
• Participate in installations and repairs
