Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Rubber Products Specialist in Crystal, MN to apply strong customer service and conveyor belt technical skills to train, implement, and drive rubber products marketing programs.

You will work with Account Managers and customers to determine needs and help meet those needs, impacting satisfaction, retention, and sales results. The role requires independent work, timely communication, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven technical lightweight conveyor belt sales and service experience.
• Ability to read / understand technical drawings.
• Listening, negotiating, and effective questioning skills.
• Travel 1-3 nights per month.
• Training or presentation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate conveyor belt /rubber product initiatives with various Service Centers and Regional Managers
• Make rubber product / conveyor belt presentations to both internal associates and customers
• Conduct training for both internal associates and customers
• Make joint sales calls with the field sales staff
• Assist in the development of rubber product / conveyor belt data collection; interchange information, case histories, documented value-added benefits, and application data
• Partner in setting - and meeting/exceeding - sales target goals and execution
• Participate in installations and repairs
