Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse distribution setting. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience, hands-on knowledge of conveyors, and the ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, facilities, or related maintenance experience.
• Experience working with conveyor systems: Bearings, Belts and chains, Motors and gearboxes, Rollers and conveyors, Basic pneumatics and hydraulics

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, belts, chains, sprockets, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, misalignment, lubrication deficiencies, and other maintenance concerns.
• Complete lubrication, belt adjustments, component replacements, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance findings and report equipment concerns to maintenance leadership.
• Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
• Record labor hours, repairs completed, and parts used.
• Assist with identifying replacement parts and inventory requirements.
• Communicate equipment issues and repair status to maintenance leadership.
