Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians to perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventive maintenance for conveyor systems. You will fabricate belts, handle rigging, and carry out millwright tasks while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree and up to three years of related experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers and management to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic math.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventive maintenance.
• Fabricate belts in shop and assist with rigging of rolls and tooling.
• Carry out basic millwright tasks and install/repair conveyor components.
• Provide technical support to customers and document findings.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance at customer sites.
• Respond to on-site service requests, including 24/7 on-call support when needed.
