Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) via MI Conveyance Solutions is seeking Field Service Technicians to install, repair, and maintain conveyor systems at customer sites. You will perform on-site belt work, rigging, and preventive maintenance, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates typically have a technical degree and up to 3 years of related experience. Join a team focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and timely service delivery across industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic math calculations.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and peers.
• Willingness to drive company vehicles and comply with DoT and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site belt installation, splicing, maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Fabricate belts in shop as needed.
• Rigging to lift belt rolls, presses, and tooling.
• Perform basic millwright tasks on conveyor components.
• Serve as customer contact on technical issues.
• Work under supervision following detailed guidelines for repairs and installations.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Communicate technical information to stakeholders and update customers.
• On-site services for new and existing clients including 24/7 on-call work.
• Willingness to drive company vehicles within one year; DoT preferred.
