Tetra Tech’s Irvine Water Team is seeking a Conveyance Engineer — Project Manager to lead major water and wastewater conveyance projects from planning through construction, delivering safe and reliable water delivery for California.

You will manage large interdisciplinary teams, collaborate with clients, and drive program schedules and budgets, while mentoring staff and supporting business development. Hybrid work is offered, with travel ~10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Civil or Mechanical Engineer (California PE preferred, or able to obtain within six months).
• 10+ years of experience with water/wastewater conveyance systems and leading large, complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong business development skills and proficiency with project management tools (MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~10%.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsabilités

• Lead major water and wastewater conveyance projects and programs from planning through construction.
• Collaborate with external clients and stakeholders to support decision-making and oversee schedules and budgets.
• Manage large, interdisciplinary teams of internal staff and subconsultants to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide technical solutions in water distribution, transmission mains, pump stations, trunk mains and related facilities.
• Deliver contract documentation for construction that meets client goals and maximizes municipal benefits.
• Develop client relationships and support marketing and business development activities including pursuits and interviews.
• Mentor professionals and grow the team by recruiting and developing talent.
