Job summary

Tetra Tech’s Water Team in Irvine seeks a Conveyance Engineer – Project Manager to lead major water/wastewater projects across Orange County. You’ll guide interdisciplinary teams, collaborate with clients, and deliver innovative solutions for safe water delivery with hybrid office-field flexibility.

Requirements include a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, 10+ years’ experience, and a CA PE license or ability to obtain within six months. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• California PE license preferred, or ability to obtain within six months.
• 10+ years of experience with water/wastewater conveyance systems and leading large projects.
• Strong business development skills and proficiency with PM tools (Office, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~10%.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Lead major water and wastewater conveyance projects from planning through construction.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to support decision-making and manage schedules and budgets.
• Manage large interdisciplinary teams including staff and subconsultants.
• Provide technical solutions for water distribution, pumps, large pipelines, tunnels, storage, and collection systems.
• Prepare comprehensive construction contract documentation to meet client goals.
• Support marketing and business development activities including pursuits and interviews.
