Job summary

Pratt Industries in Texas is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead the Converting Department, driving safety, quality, and production efficiency on every shift. You will mentor Supervisors and hourly staff, coordinate with Maintenance and Scheduling, and model strong operational discipline on the floor.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, previous manufacturing leadership, and converting or corrugated experience.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading production teams across multiple shifts.
• Corrugated or converting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety, quality, and production processes.
• Strong communication, coaching, and employee relations skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supervisors and hourly employees across all shifts, ensuring safety, quality, production, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, providing real-time operational oversight.
• Coordinate the performance of all shifts to meet schedules and department goals safely and efficiently.
• Communicate plant standards, production expectations, and priorities clearly to the Converting team.
• Collaborate with Scheduling, Maintenance, and other departments to coordinate production needs.
• Monitor production performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and report issues to plant leadership.
• Ensure staffing, training, and cross-training within the department.
