Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Cedar Hill, TX seeks a hands-on Superintendent to lead the Converting Department, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

You will supervise Supervisors and hourly staff across shifts, drive continuous improvement, coordinate with maintenance and scheduling, and coach a high-performing team on the production floor. You will mentor technicians, uphold plant standards, manage staffing, and represent the department with internal and external partners to meet production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading production teams across multiple shifts.
• Corrugated or converting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and production processes.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supervisors and hourly employees across all shifts, ensuring safety, quality, production, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, providing real-time operational oversight and support to the Converting team.
• Coordinate the performance of all shifts to meet production schedules and department goals safely and efficiently.
• Communicate plant standards, production expectations, and priorities clearly to the Converting team.
• Work with Scheduling, Maintenance, and other departments to coordinate production needs and address issues affecting performance.
• Monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support employee development and skill growth.
