Job summary

Petoskey Plastics is seeking a Converting Head Setup specialist to read blueprints and set up contour heads for production, ensuring quality and safety standards. The role involves routine maintenance, tool handling, and collaboration with packaging teams to cover absences as needed.

You will work in a manufacturing environment with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and attendance. Prior experience and precise hand-toolwork are valued as part of our family-oriented culture with robust training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read production schedules in English.
• Good communication, safety and quality mindset.
• Ability to read tape measure, blueprint templates and level.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production schedule to meet contour head needs.
• Set up a head per product specification template.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and adhere to housekeeping standards.
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures and safety protocols.
• Select and use hand tools; replace hardware on heads and assemble tooling boxes.
• Complete head setup logs and document accordingly.
• Assist packaging department during breaks or absences as needed.
