Job summary

Wisconsin Converting, Inc. is seeking a Machine Setup & Process Technician to set up, change over, and adjust paper converting equipment for efficient production.

This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues while maintaining uptime. You will collaborate with Machine Operators and Maintenance Technicians, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand equipment operation and setup procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform adjustments.
• Attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools (e.g., tape measures).
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read work instructions and production specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate setups and changeovers of paper converting equipment according to production requirements.
• Adjust machine components for different products, sizes, and runs.
• Verify setup and adjust for product quality and efficiency.
• Assist Operators with startup and operation after setups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs within scope.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with larger equipment projects.
