Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Public Safety and Security Manager for the Wilmington Convention Center. You will oversee all safety operations, security personnel, and emergency preparedness to ensure a safe, welcoming environment during events.

Candidates should have 5+ years of supervisory safety/security experience, knowledge of life-safety regulations, and strong leadership skills. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years safety/security supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of emergency response and crisis management.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public safety and security plans for events.
• Schedule, supervise, and direct security personnel.
• Conduct patrols and investigate safety concerns.
• Monitor crowd management and access control during events.
• Ensure compliance with life-safety regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with authorities.
• Investigate incidents and document security concerns.
• Provide safety escorts for guests and staff.
• Attend event planning meetings with managers.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate Public Safety personnel.
