Job summary

Dua Miami is seeking a Convention Services Manager to lead catering and convention sales, build relationships with clients, and drive revenue while ensuring memorable events at a premier Autograph Collection hotel in Miami. You’ll work with leadership to hit goals and coordinate banquet details to elevate guest experiences.

The role emphasizes creativity, market awareness, and teamwork, delivering flawless event orders and adapting to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events; professional selling skills desired.
• Valid driver's license required for the applicable state.
• Strong verbal and written communication to negotiate and influence clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use; manage multiple tasks independently.

As our Catering & Convention Services Manager, you’ll play a starring role in driving catering and food and beverage sales, all while ensuring our hotel shines. You’ll build relationships with amazing clients and groups, making every event not just a success, but a standout memory. With the support of our Director of Sales or Director of Catering & Convention Services, you’ll work your magic to hit revenue goals, wow meeting planners, and keep our guests—and your career—moving forward. Get ready to make every celebration extraordinary!

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM),overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events, plus professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, and influence clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and present effectively.
