Hotel Champlain, Curio Collection by Hilton in Burlington, VT seeks a Convention Services Manager to drive catering and food & beverage sales, coordinate events, and ensure exceptional client experiences. You’ll build relationships with planners, translate their needs into flawless service, and collaborate with sales and events teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events, plus professional selling skills desired.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, and influence clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use; manage multiple tasks independently.

As our Catering & Convention Services Manager, you’ll play a starring role in driving catering and food and beverage sales, all while ensuring our hotel shines. With the support of our Director of Sales or Director of Catering & Convention Services, you’ll work your magic to hit revenue goals, wow meeting planners, and keep our guests—and your career—moving forward. This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM),overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events, plus professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, and influence clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and present effectively.
