Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Houseman to manage setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of meeting spaces per Resort standards. You will ensure events are arranged to specifications, supporting guest experiences while embodying our Lead with Love promise.

Pay rate is $14-$16 per hour. Flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays; prior banquet setup in large venues is preferred. Equal opportunity employer committed to safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute’s notice.
• Physical Requirements include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly; to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• Ability to utilize various types of cleaning and setup equipment including vacuums, chair dollies, carts, audio visual equipment; break down banquet space after functions and store equipment properly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout banquet spaces and storage areas (carpets, floors, walls, doors, windows, HVAC).
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Houseman. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards.

Pay Rate: $14-$16/hour

Key Responsibilities
