Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Join Coen Markets, Inc., a company with over 100 years of history and more than 50 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. We pride ourselves on delivering world-class customer service and creating a supportive, engaging workplace. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and team development.

Compensation & Schedule

Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Standard Store Hours: 5 am to 11 pm; some evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required. Open availability to work any shift is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager and District Manager in daily store operations
  • Help achieve performance and profit goals through team development and training
  • Monitor financial performance and inventory, minimize waste
  • Manage vendor relations and cash handling procedures
  • Analyze audit results and implement corrective actions
  • Supervise daily tasks and performance of team members
  • Provide coaching and feedback to foster growth
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints
  • Ensure safety and operational standards are met
  • Implement safety programs and ensure compliance with laws and policies
  • Report incidents promptly
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience, preferably in retail or convenience store environment
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend during shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong understanding of retail financials
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to learn store computer applications
  • Flexibility to work at other locations as needed
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
