Job summary
Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking a Training Specialist to develop written and computer-based training on PLC and SCADA systems for Automation Specialists. You will evaluate new technologies and support project delivery teams to ensure high-quality services.
The role reports to the Director of Engineering and involves creating training materials such as BOMs, IO lists, PLC programs, HMI screens, and testing plans, while collaborating with manufacturers and vendors.
Qualifications
- 5 years of industrial automation experience.
- BS in Mechatronics, Computer, Electrical engineering or related technical degree.
- Interest in new technologies and learning new systems.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation Logix; Siemens/Schneider familiarity is a plus.
- Experience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, AVEVA, Wonderware, VTScada or FactoryTalk View.
Responsibilities
- Develop training content for Automation Specialists on PLC/SCADA.
- Create BOMs, IO lists, and control panel requirements.
- Test new products and technologies.
- Develop and evolve company design and programming standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to provide training to staff.
