Job summary

Hire Consulting Services in the southwest suburban Atlanta area seeks a skilled Controls Technician for a day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri). You will design and integrate controls, build PLC panels, program them, and get systems running on automated production lines.

Responsibilities include pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC troubleshooting, servo/robot controller work, and safety circuit integration. Requires 6+ years, PLC programming, and authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience.
• PLC programming experience.
• Comfortable programming machine processes from scratch.
• Wiring a 9-lead motor and stress testing windings.
• Identify data plate info for specing components (contactors, soft starters, VFDs).
• Familiar with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, and dry contact.
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V signals.

Responsibilities

• Install air logic and hydraulic controls from prints or schematics.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using a computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Support maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment and automated systems.
• Operate or oversee equipment; conduct preventative maintenance and upgrades.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
