Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks a seasoned Controls Technician for the day shift in the SW Atlanta area. You will design and integrate control systems for automated equipment, assemble PLC panels, and program them to run, while supporting testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.

The role includes hands-on wiring, troubleshooting, and safety circuit integration. You will work with engineers and production teams to meet output targets, perform preventative maintenance, and train

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years related experience in controls or automation.
• Strong PLC programming skills with ability to read PLC code from prints/schematics.
• Experience wiring 9-lead motors and stress testing windings.
• Familiarity with sensors (PNP/NPN, loop-powered, dry contact) and analog signals (4-20mA, 0-10V).
• Able to identify critical information from motor data plates for component specing.

Responsibilities

• Install air logic controls from prints or schematics for pneumatics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with valves, accumulators, cylinders, and flow controls.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer and control software.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Build and wired control panels; maintain and service automated equipment.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment to repair or replace defective parts.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize output and performance.
