Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Technician for an on-site role in Deptford, NJ. The position offers 1st and 2nd shifts with a pay rate of $45–$46 per hour and a $1.50/hour shift differential for the 2nd shift.

You will maintain and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed production lines. Responsibilities include leading troubleshooting, training Electro-Mechanics across shifts, and overseeing maintenance for PLCs, drives,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, system interconnection drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming software for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of leading and training others across shifts.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
