Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Millville, NJ is hiring a Controls Technician to maintain and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation and process control systems on high-speed production lines. You'll lead troubleshooting, train Electro-Mechanics across shifts, and oversee maintenance of PLCs, drives, networks, and documentation while following GMP, safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have an industrial controls background, proficiency with Rockwell, Siemens and Mitsubishi, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls experience.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and system drawings.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Food, bakery, CPG, or continuous process manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
