Job Details

Shift Hours : Sunday-Thursday 7pm until complete

Under the general supervision of the Systems Manager, this role involves supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center, mentoring technician associates, diagnosing electrical controls issues, programming PLC controllers, troubleshooting network and communication issues, and maintaining all plant systems including chillers, boilers, and pumps.

• Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair errors related to Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking Systems.
• Oversee maintenance, modifications, and upgrades of system controls.
• Assess system efficiencies and implement modifications as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure operational productivity.
• Maintain CMMS/EAM records of repairs and manage spare parts inventory.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet productivity goals.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Technical vocational training or equivalent experience, with at least two years in a related role; strong electrical background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including ability to read CAD and electrical diagrams.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, including systems up to 600 volts.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, and network troubleshooting, including protocols like Profibus and Ethernet/IP.
• Ability to program basic PLC changes, wire devices, and troubleshoot communication issues.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including MS Office and MHE software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
