Job summary
Corning Incorporated in Wilmington, NC is seeking a technically skilled professional to develop, install, and optimize control systems for R&D and manufacturing equipment. You will design controls capabilities, support startups, and document processes with engineers and technicians.

Qualifications
- Experience with industrial controls, automation, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for schematic development.
- Ability to read electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical drawings.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support project execution.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with industrial safety standards and electrical codes preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems for development and manufacturing equipment.
- Design and implement new controls capabilities, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
- Collaborate with design engineers, deployment teams, and manufacturing partners throughout the development process.
- Support equipment startup, commissioning, and process implementation activities.
- Develop technical documentation and provide training for new control systems.
- Document testing results, observations, and project outcomes.
- Coordinate and support electricians during installations and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to improve performance.
