MacLean Power Systems seeks a Controls technician working with the Controls team on automation, programming, and repair of mechanical equipment in our Tennessee facility.

You will route pneumatics, troubleshoot faults, install cables, and maintain 5S and safety standards while collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in related field of study is required.
• Basic PLC knowledge and its operation.

Responsibilities

• Route basic pneumatics lines.
• Troubleshoot machine faults.
• Install basic communication cables and test (Cat5, sensor connections).
• Perform basic install methods (drill & tapping, anchoring machines, plumbing).
• Adhere to 5S standards and keep work area clean.
• Follow all safety, environmental and quality policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Job Duties

• Route basic pneumatics lines
• Trouble shoot machine faults
• Install basic communication cables and test (Cat5, Sensor connections, etc.)
• Perform basic install methods such as (Drill & Tapping, Anchoring machines, Plumbing, etc.)
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Currently enrolled in related field of study.

Competencies/ Skills

• Basic knowledge of PLC, and how they work
• Computer skills, familiar with Microsoft office and related programs.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn
