Job summary

MacLean Power Systems is seeking an entry-level operator to support molding processes. Responsibilities include setting up the molding line, performing basic equipment adjustments, and ensuring safe, efficient operation by reading blueprints and specs.

Candidates should have 0–2 years of experience, be able to lift heavy objects, and maintain attention to detail. Power industrial equipment certification is preferred. This is a full-time on-site role in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specs and shop orders.
• Set up molding process and adjust equipment as needed.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and ability to lift/move heavy objects.
• Maintain physical stamina for long shifts and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup activities to ensure molding process meets requirements.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment/tooling and make adjustments.
• Test and inspect machines for safe and efficient operation.
• Read blueprints or specs to determine setup, methods and sequence.
• Clean and maintain hoppers, loaders, grinders, and other equipment.
• Operate powered industrial equipment as needed.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Follow 5S standards and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Performs work associated with both set-up and basic plastic processing functions.

Job Duties

• Perform all required setup activities to ensure the molding process meets the requirements
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment/tooling and perform adjustments
• Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation when applicable
• Clean and maintain hoppers, loaders, grinders and other secondary equipment
• Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under general supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• 0 to 2 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment
• Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
