Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Controls Technician or BAS field specialist.
• Familiar with Tridium, Delta, and/or Johnson FX controls platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to modify control sequences.
• Willing to travel for extended periods (2 weeks to multi-month).
• Must be St. Louis–based for dispatch and home office purposes.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission BAS at multiple project locations across the U.S.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and update BAS programs
• Conduct point-to-point verification, functional testing, and full system commissioning
• Assist with HVAC equipment start-up, wiring terminations, and controls integration
• Communicate clearly with clients, general contractors, and internal teams
• Work closely with mechanical and controls staff to complete projects efficiently

A fast-growing mechanical and building controls contractor is seeking a talented Travelling Controls Technician based in St. Louis, MO. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork and is ready to take on extensive national travel supporting HVAC and building automation projects. If you have BAS experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and enjoy commissioning complex systems—this position offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

• Location: Based in St. Louis, MO
• Travel: 75–90% Nationwide (flights, accommodations, and weekly per diem covered)
• Compensation: Up to $90,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus
