Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS and HVAC controls projects from initial bid phase through final turnover
• Oversee project scope, scheduling, forecasting, and budget tracking
• Coordinate closely with subcontractors, field technicians, and internal engineering teams
• Support estimating efforts, proposals, procurement, and material logistics
• Serve as the primary client liaison to ensure expectations and deliverables are met
• Conduct site visits (approx. 4–5 trips every 6 months) to review field progress
• Prepare RFIs, evaluate contract documents, and manage change order processes
• Direct field resources, uphold quality standards, and maintain thorough project documentation

About the Opportunity:

A well-established design-build mechanical and controls contractor is looking for a skilled Controls Project Manager to support its expanding operations in St. Louis, MO. This position offers the chance to oversee exciting controls projects nationwide while working with a reputable organization known for quality, innovation, and energy-focused building solutions.

• Title: Controls Project Manager
• Location: St. Louis, MO (periodic travel across the U.S.)
• Compensation: $75,000–$100,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage BAS and HVAC controls projects from initial bid phase through final turnover
• Oversee project scope, scheduling, forecasting, and budget tracking
• Coordinate closely with subcontractors, field technicians, and internal engineering teams
• Support estimating efforts, proposals, procurement, and material logistics
• Serve as the primary client liaison to ensure expectations and deliverables are met
