Job summary

ControlsJobs is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician to service the Milwaukee region. You will install and troubleshoot building automation and HVAC controls, work with Distech, Allerton, LynxSpring, KMC, and Phoenix platforms, and support commissioning and system verification.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years of BAS experience, a strong programming and diagnostics background, and excellent communication with end users and contractors. Local travel is limited to the Milwaukee area.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years as a BAS Technician or Controls Specialist
• Direct experience with BAS platforms (Distech, Allerton, LynxSpring, KMC, Phoenix Controls)
• Tridium Niagara4 certification preferred
• Strong programming, integration, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with commissioning, testing, and system verification
• Effective communication with end users, contractors, and internal teams

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and start up BAS and HVAC control systems
• Perform diagnostics, repair, and service on BAS installations
• Optimize and rewrite control sequences for performance
• Support commissioning, system checkout, and quality control
• Provide end-user support, training, and documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors

We are looking for an experienced BAS Controls Technician to join a leading provider of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls across the Milwaukee region. The company is known for its deep technical expertise, reliable service, and long-standing partnerships.

• Location: Milwaukee, WI (local service territory)
• Travel: Local only | Rare overnight travel

Ideal Candidate:

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience as a BAS Technician, Controls Specialist, or related role
• Direct experience with BAS platforms such as Distech, Allerton, LynxSpring, KMC, or Phoenix Controls
• Tridium (Niagara N4) certification is highly preferred
• Strong background in BAS programming, integration, and troubleshooting
• Skilled in commissioning protocols, point-to-point testing, and system verification
• Effective communicator capable of working directly with end users, contractors, and internal teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and start up building automation and HVAC control systems
• Perform diagnostics, repair, and service on existing BAS installations
• Optimize and rewrite control sequences to improve system performance
• Support commissioning activities, system checkout, and quality control
• Provide end-user support, technical training, and system documentation

• Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
