The role emphasizes on-site implementation, troubleshooting, and staying ahead of project schedules, with a strong preference for candidates with dedicated BAS/controls experience and hands-on electronics knowledge. On-site work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years dedicated BAS/controls experience.
• Background in electronics, computer programming, or mechanical technology.
• BS in engineering technology or a two-year technical credential.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission BAS controls, verifying sequences meet specifications.
• Program databases, graphics, and controls for new and retrofit projects.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair digital control systems on-site.
• Serve as primary customer contact and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Provide technical support to HVAC techs and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built drawings.
• Train site personnel on system operation and provide follow-up support.
• Manage multiple projects independently and prioritize workload.

This role installs, programs, and services building automation and digital control systems across new construction and retrofit projects. Two openings are available, with a strong preference for candidates who have dedicated controls experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Background in electronics, computer programming, or mechanical technology.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently on design and implementation tasks.
• A self‑starter who stays organized while managing multiple priorities and shifting demands.
• Distech Controls experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems preferred.
