Job summary

Jobot in Charlotte is seeking a BAS Controls Technician to install, program, commission, and service building automation systems on commercial projects. You’ll work closely with customers, project teams, and field technicians to deliver high‑quality control solutions.

The role requires 3–5+ years in BAS/HVAC controls, experience with Tridium Niagara (N4/AX) or Distech, and the ability to troubleshoot, program, and commission DDC systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of BAS/HVAC controls experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment and control sequences.
• Experience with Tridium Niagara (N4/AX) or Distech, or similar.
• Ability to troubleshoot, program, and commission DDC systems.
• Comfortable working in the field with customers.
• Valid driver’s license; technical degree or training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission BAS/DDC systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
• Troubleshoot and service control systems at customer sites.
• Verify system performance and ensure sequences meet project specifications.
• Develop and implement control programs, databases, and graphics.
• Complete commissioning documentation and maintain as‑built records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to support project execution.
• Provide technical support, training, and follow‑up for end users.
• Assist HVAC technicians with controls issues in the field.
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development.
• Identify service opportunities and support ongoing customer relationships.
