Salary Range: $25 to $30 per hour
Our client, a leading Trane independent office, is seeking a Controls Technician to join their team. The Controls Technician will be responsible for programming, technical checkout, owner training, and assisting in subcontractor coordination on Building Automation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with Trane, Tridium, and/or Teletrol building automation, but experience with other control manufacturers such as Johnson Controls, Schneider, Honeywell, Siemens, Distech, etc. will also be considered.
The employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear and use hands/fingers in order to grasp/handle/feel. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb up and down ladders and/or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires frequent working outdoors, inside mechanical/equipment rooms, and regular exposure to extreme inside/outside weather conditions, live voltage, moving mechanical parts, and heavy equipment. Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, elevated and/or precarious workplaces, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with periodic on-call basis for Controls Service program and overtime/weekends as required.
The position is located in North Carolina, with opportunities for relocation assistance.
The salary range for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
