Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an electrician-installation professional to perform installation and checkout of building systems under supervision. You will work with prime electrical contractors and develop a positive interface with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Working knowledge of local electrical codes as applied to controls.
• Experience working independently on installation projects.

Responsibilities

• Install raceways, cables and wiring to meet codes and system requirements.
• Mount and terminate controls equipment as needed.
• Assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects.
• Determine final termination points for equipment interfaced with installed systems (e.g., chillers, boilers, rooftop units).
• Check wiring and terminations with test instruments.
• Keep management informed of job needs, progress and issues.
• Complete paperwork (time sheets, expense reports, on-site documentation) and update as-built drawings.
• Resolve job site conflicts or escalate concerns as required.
• Communicate with the customer on arrival and before leaving the site.
• Adhere to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
