Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an electrical installer to perform installation and checkout on a variety of systems, interfacing with prime electrical contractors and ensuring customer confidence and satisfaction with the installed system.

Under general supervision, duties include wiring, terminating, and documenting work, while adhering to safety programs and company procedures. A formal training in low-voltage installations is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training in low voltage electrical installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Working knowledge of local codes as it applies to controls.
• Ability to determine installation material scope and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install raceways, cables and wiring to meet codes and customer requirements.
• Mount and terminate controls equipment as needed.
• Validate final terminations to equipment interfaced with the system (e.g., chillers, boilers, rooftops).
• Test wiring and terminations with meters and handheld testers.
• Maintain communication with management on job needs, progress and issues and keep as‑built drawings current.
