Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer - Controls Engineer in Anaheim, CA. You will lead a small software team and apply advanced software engineering methods to power system architectures and conversion equipment, from design to integration.

Responsibilities include control systems analysis, design support for new products, and implementing designs with MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, and embedded languages.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years in control systems for power conversion; MS preferred with reduced experience.
Must be able to obtain US security clearance.
Strong knowledge of control theory and MATLAB/SIMULINK.
Experience with digital signal processing and communications subsystems.
Experience with RS-232/RS-485/Ethernet protocols.
Able to collaborate with Senior Project Engineers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Perform control systems analysis of power conversion equipment and architectures.
Support development of control systems design and architectures for new products.
Design and implement customer specifications for control systems; write specs and verification procedures.
Implement control system design with MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, and embedded languages.
Travel up to 35% for on-site customer support.
Lead a small software engineering team under supervision.
