Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of building control systems on customer sites. You will provide high levels of service, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to project documentation and safety standards.
The role requires 4+ years in commercial controls, strong HVAC and control-system knowledge, and excellent communication.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial controls troubleshooting in HVAC environments.
- Graduate of a technical program or associate degree, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
- Strong written and spoken communication to represent Johnson Controls on site.
- Knowledge of control theory and building automation subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex building automation control systems on site.
- Provide field proposals for retrofits and upgrades to customers.
- Assist sales with technical recommendations for leads.
- Coordinate and monitor work to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
- Deliver documentation, training, and manuals to customers as required.
- Promote add-on work and system enhancements to improve efficiency.
