Job summary

Dematic has an immediate need for a Controls Project Engineer in our Customer Service Modernizations & Upgrades group. Candidates will have a minimum of 2-8 years' experience in controls engineering, proficient in project planning, creating schematic and electrical layout drawings, working with PLCs and HMIs, and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects.

Employees must be willing to travel up to 40% to customer locations in the USA.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of controls engineering experience.
• Experience with PLCs and HMIs.
• Proficiency in project planning and electrical schematic/layout drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer locations in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Participates in design of semi-complex systems integrating hardware and software.
• Writes PLC code for semi-complex systems.
• Supports material spec, schematic prep, BOM development, and follow-up.
• Suggests productivity improvements, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction enhancements.
• Manages semi-complex projects through full life cycle: design, documentation, forecasting.
