Dematic is hiring a Controls Project Engineer for our Customer Service Modernizations & Upgrades group. The role involves designing semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software, writing PLC code, and supporting BOM development and schematic preparation. Travel to customer sites is required up to 40% across the USA.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with PLCs, HMI development, and networks like Profibus/ASi/Ethernet, and be able to work on-site with customers.

Qualifications

2-8 years of controls engineering experience.
Experience with PLCs and HMIs.
Ability to design schematic and electrical layouts.
Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer locations in the USA.
4 year degree or equivalent in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

Design semi-complex systems integrating hardware and software.
Write PLC code for semi-complex systems using standard practices.
Support material specification, BOM development, and schematic preparation.
Suggest ideas for productivity improvements and cost reductions.
Lead semi-complex projects through design, documentation, and commissioning.
