Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electrical Controls Applications Engineering Intern/Co-Op in Grand Rapids, MI. You will assist in designing routine systems that integrate hardware and software, under supervision from senior engineers.

You\'ll gain hands-on experience with Dematic systems (CAD, SAP) and participate in startup, commissioning, and testing of material handling systems while traveling up to 40-50% to customer sites across the USA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/BA in Engineering (undergraduate).
• Experience with PLC programming is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing routine systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Assist lead engineers with project documentation and tasks.
• Learn and apply Dematic systems (e.g., CAD, SAP).
• Aid in startup, commissioning, and testing of material handling systems.
• Assist with software PLC emulation and testing of material handling systems.
