Dematic is seeking a Controls Engineer to complete projects for the Project Engineering Special Technology team. You will work on control devices, PLC programming, software, and automated systems, including autonomous vehicles, with travel up to 40% within the USA.

Requirements include a BS/BA in electrical engineering and 2+ years of related experience, plus knowledge of Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal, and AutoCAD Electrical for design and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of successful experience in related field.
• Knowledgeable on AC drives, open and closed loop.
• Experience in Ethernet IP network design.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal.
• Design and document electrical schematics and control panels.
• Lead commissioning activities for complex systems integrating hardware and software.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to validate specifications.
• Monitor progress and report status against schedules and budgets.
• Travel up to 40% to customer locations in the USA.
