Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Software Engineer in Test, Controls to define, build, and execute test strategies spanning software, hardware, and simulation environments, including MIL, SIL, and HIL, while owning CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks.

You will read Simulink/Stateflow models and their generated C code, develop test automation in Python and MATLAB, run MIL/SIL/HIL tests, and collaborate across software, firmware, and vehicle teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering, computer engineering, CS.
• 5+ years in embedded/automotive test engineering or dev infra.
• Ability to read Simulink/Stateflow and C code.
• Experience with MIL/SIL/HIL and vehicle testing.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Define comprehensive test strategies and architectures for new features.
• Translate requirements into test plans, cases, and automation scripts.
• Read Simulink models and generate meaningful tests.
• Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for controls software.
• Support automated toolchains to deploy Simulink/MATLAB code to targets.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Execute MIL/SIL/HIL testing and analyze logs and CAN data.
• Provide dev infra support to unblock engineers.
• Collaborate across software, firmware, systems, and vehicle teams.
