What you will do

Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers. Performs or delegates tasks as needed to execute and fully complete projects, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout. Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects, including costs, project billings, and collections. Maintains a balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results. Actively pursues selling change orders. Coordinates communication with the customer during all project phases. Ensures accurate execution of warranty.

How you will do it

  • Provides work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary.

  • Ensures work performed complies with state, local, and federal legal requirements and operates with the highest ethics.

  • Adheres to safety standards and ensures Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors do the same.

What we look for

Required

  • Technical associate’s degree with 7 years of field experience or four years of equivalent related experience in the building automation industry, programming panel controls, preferably HVAC equipment.

  • Experience managing projects.

  • Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.

  • Ability to perform work independently.

  • Strong digital literacy.

  • Where legally permissible, candidates must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by their start date unless they have a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief preventing vaccination.

Preferred

  • Experience in the HVAC industry, programming controls.

  • Two or more years of project management experience.

  • Knowledge of project accounting and costing principles.

  • Relevant technical hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
