Market Area Coordinator

The Central Market Area Coordinator (MAC) will support the New Ford Tech programs, Mobile Service, Ford Pro Elite, and assist Technical Placement Specialists in their designated market area. The MAC must have a strong understanding of Ford Service Capacity and its impact on our bottom line. The primary focus is to improve Technician Count and support dealer efforts in technician retention.

This is a remote-based role; candidates must reside in Detroit, MI. Travel of up to 60% is required.

Qualifications

You'll have…

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years' experience in event activation
  • 2+ years automotive service technical background
  • Ability to relocate and travel regularly (weekly)
  • Strong understanding of Dealership Parts and Service Operations
  • Knowledge of technician productivity and service capacity constraints
  • Project/program management experience and business acumen
  • Proven ability to work independently, follow through, and solve problems quickly

Responsibilities

What you'll do…

  • Coordinate with regional teams to achieve technician count goals
  • Manage and review the market area event calendar
  • Facilitate and support market area events (career fairs, NHRA events, etc.)
  • Assess program needs and partner with Ford Tech programs to promote dealerships as destinations for students/technicians
  • Support technician recruiting and retention initiatives
  • Lead for Top Techs+ and Tech Connect Program, providing training and support
  • Support Ford Pro Elite dealer efforts to build technician pipelines
  • Assist onboarding of new TPS in the market, including travel support
  • Lead tech recruiting, recognition, and retention efforts, providing monthly performance reports
  • Manage technician count and placement objectives, including event support, program utilization, retention, and engagement performance metrics
