Job summary

Bartingale Mechanical, headquartered in Eau Claire, is seeking a Controls Lead to design and program HVAC/building automation, guiding projects from design through commissioning. You will lead technical direction, coordinate field teams, and collaborate with clients, engineers, and managers to deliver smart, efficient building systems.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires a Bachelor's or an Associate with experience in building automation and control systems; Niagara platform experience;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field; 3+ years in service, controls, or HVAC.
• OR Associate's degree plus 5+ years leading projects and teams in building automation.
• Experience with control systems such as Distech Controls, Trane, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Automated Logic, or Siemens.
• Knowledge of and experience with the Tridium Niagara platform.
• Experience leading building automation projects through all phases of implementation.
• Experience with information technology and networking.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, installation techniques, drawings, specs, materials, and standards including prefabrication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat Pro, estimating software, Procore, Primavera, or file-sharing systems.
• Niagara4 certification preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technician schedules and support project timelines, priorities, and scopes of work.
• Lead the design and programming of HVAC controls and building automation systems.
• Develop control drawings, sequences of operation, submittals, schematics, network layouts, material lists, and as-built documentation.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, training, and cross-training for field teams.
• Support projects through installation, startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Assist with estimates, proposals, hardware selection, material ordering, and technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients, design engineers, project managers, technicians, and leadership through each phase of the project.
• Stay current with building automation technologies, product lines, industry practices, and required certifications.

What We're Looking For

We are looking foran experienced building automation professional who combines strong controlsexpertise with the ability to lead projects, support field teams, and solvecomplex technical challenges.

• RequiredQualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC,Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field, PLUS three or more years ofexperience in service, controls, or mechanical plumbing/HVAC; OR an Associate's degree in arelated field, PLUS five or more years of experience leading projects and teamswithin the building automation field.
• Experience with controlsystems such as Distech Controls, Trane, Johnson Controls, Alerton,Automated Logic, or Siemens.
• Knowledge of and experienceworking with the Tridium Niagara platform.
• Experience leading buildingautomation projects through all phases of implementation.
