Job summary

Ford is seeking an Engineering Specialist in Livonia to lead problem solving across tooling, equipment, and conveyors. You will coordinate resources to find root causes, validate fixes, and implement improvements in automation and robotics.

The role involves vision systems programming, AutoCAD schematics, and collaboration with maintenance teams to enhance quality and delivery. Occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Knowledge of PLC/CNC controls and robotics is highly desirable.
• Experience with AutoCAD and electrical schematics.
• Lean Manufacturing experience (5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead problem solving to resolve tooling and downtime issues.
• Coordinate resources to identify root causes and fixes.
• Program and install vision systems and calculate validation methods.
• Set up and maintain industrial printers and related equipment.
• Review risk assessments and ensure equipment safety.
• Train maintenance personnel and plant electricians.
• Read and modify electrical prints and schematics (AutoCAD).
