Job summary

DSJ Global is recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead the Controls Engineering Department at a new production facility in Little Rock, AR. You will drive operational excellence, oversee automation infrastructure, and guide a team of control engineers in delivering reliable plant performance.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, hands-on control systems experience, and collaboration across functions to optimize quality, efficiency, and cost. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in control within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong background in PLC control systems.
• Proven leadership in managing technical teams.
• Experience with capital projects and cross-department coordination.
• Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and RCA; strong troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Control Engineers supporting plant control systems.
• Oversee reliability and optimization of PLCs, DCS, and SCADA across the facility.
• Manage departmental budget and vendor/service contracts.
• Support capital projects, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and participate in proactive safety programs.
• Coordinate software updates, backups, and troubleshooting for control systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve product quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Maintain technical skill inventory and training plans for department personnel.
